SpecSync for MTM v1.2 Released!

by Gáspár on April 21, 2017

We have recently released a new version of SpecSync for MTM. The new version, v1.2 is already available on NuGet.

What is new?

With the new version you can automatically link the synchronized test cases to other work items. For example, if your scenario has been developed for the user story #123, SpecSync can automatically create a link between the test case synchronized from the scenario and the user story work item. For this, you have to tag the scenario (or even the entire feature file) with a tag, like @us:123. SpecSync will process this tag and creates the described link. The tag prefixes (that is us in our example) can be configured. You can even specify multiple prefixes, so you can link the scenario to a user story and also to a related bug entry if you want. You can even configure the link type to be created. Check out the documentation for the details.

The version contains a couple of bug fixes and integration improvements as well. For the list of these, check out the changelog.

Check out the plans!

If you are interested in how the synchronized test cases can be executed on Azure Virtual Machines, read the related post and watch the demo. You can even distribute the tests into multiple VMs to get faster feedback.

New to SpecSync?

SpecSync for MTM is a synchronization tool that integrates SpecFlow to TFS/MTM. It can synchronize your scenarios to TFS test case work items.
